ABOUT ME
I am an ambitious individual with a newly received Ph.D. in Marine Biology from Auburn University (AU) looking for employment that combines my passions of teaching and outreach.
As a current Postdoctoral Fellow in the Outreach Department of the College and Sciences and Mathematics at AU, I plan, execute, and evaluate STEM outreach programs for K-12 students, as well as, K-12 teacher trainings. Each day this position increases my confidence as a manager and provides me unmatched administrative experience in a university setting.
When I am not in the COSAM Outreach office, I am either instructing a freshman college level Special Topics Course centered around Learning Strategies for Women in Science and Engineering or teaching a scuba diving course to college students as a SSI Dive Control Specialist and Assistant Scuba Instructor.
Before starting my postdoc, I instructed the Organismal Biology course for majors through the AU Department of Biological Sciences. This experience heighted my love of teaching, especially at the colligate level.
In 2017, I was a visiting expert scientist on Saba where I taught the local community about cleaning systems.
